What we did
58m × 2m of geotextile and 40m × 2.5m of 0.6mm HDPE geomembrane, welded panel to panel, the crates built inside and the wrap closed and sealed around the pipe connections.
The tricky bits
Access on a secure base is planned in advance, and the inspection crates arrived late, so the programme had to flex around them. The base welds were pressure-tested and marked up before anything was covered.
What we delivered
A lined, wrapped and base-tested tank delivered inside the base's access rules.
Materials
The tank was lined in 0.6mm HDPE geomembrane, from 2.5m-wide rolls, over 2m-wide geotextile. HDPE is less conformable than LLDPE, the membrane we fit on most tanks, so the wrap is dressed to the crate block with care at the corners. Every joint was heat-welded. None were taped.
Sign-off
Once the inspection crates arrived and went in, the wrap was closed and the installation was signed off on site at the end of April 2026, with the weld test record and QA documentation handed over.
