What we did

A 300g/m² protection fleece laid on the prepared formation, the LLDPE membrane deployed across the lagoon and welded into a watertight seal, then a second 300g/m² fleece over the top to protect the liner from stones and livestock.

02

The tricky bits

Wet weather during the install. The work was resequenced to keep the lagoon on programme, with final checks across the lining before handover.

03

What we delivered

A lined, sealed 2,000m² lagoon, completed on time and now in use for the farm's slurry storage.

04

Why the lagoon is lined

A lined lagoon holds slurry where it can't reach the ground or a watercourse. For the farm, it's a large-capacity store that helps meet the storage regulations, at a lower installed cost than a slurry tank of the same size.

05

Handover

Final checks were made across the lining to confirm a fully sealed system before handover. The lagoon was completed on time in 2025 and is now in use for the farm's slurry storage.
